I found a handy tool for calculating how thick of traces you need to handle a specified current. I usually am only working with a couple mA but I have a board that needs to go up to 4A and I was wondering just how thick and wide a trace would have to be to not burn up on a PCB to handle that. Granted, you could always tin the trace or fix a wire on, but curiosity is a good thing!
